Content. It’s everywhere. And that’s because it’s an essential ingredient in the marketing mix of almost any organisation.
Content writing involves planning, researching, writing and editing information, typically designed to entertain or inform, and typically for digital marketing purposes.
The thing is, there’s little point in publishing a piece of content if it’s not going to genuinely offer something of value to your target audience.
Even if it’s purely for SEO purposes, it’ll be much more effective if it’s being read, shared and talked about as much as possible.
Your content also needs to be tailored to the specific platform it’s being used on, it needs to bring your brand – your identity – to life and you need to be selective when it comes to the platforms you use and the type you publish.
If you want to avoid drowning in the internet’s sea of information, less – but high value and high quality content – is more.
I’ve written for a range of organisations in sectors such as sport, higher education, environment, travel, hospitality and eCommerce, and for digital platforms including:
- website news pages
- email newsletters and direct response email campaigns
- SEO-optimised blogs
- social media.
And, having more than 10 years’ experience in marketing and communications means that I’ve done my fair share of content planning too.

If you need an extra pair of capable hands, or some extra expertise when it comes to content planning and creation, I can help you create a targeted, integrated content strategy and deliver content on an ongoing basis.
I’m also more than happy to work on a project-by-project basis and deliver high quality content to brief – and help you get the most out of your resources.
